Sebastian Inlet State Park Loggerhead Turtle Walk: Following a brief lecture at the musuem, we made our way onto the beach to a spot where a 200 lb. turtle was making a nest for approximately 120 eggs. It was wonderful to see this majestic creature and her natural instincts. The weather was perfect with clear skies and even one magical shooting star.

Since flash photography is not allowed, I have no pictures of her laying her eggs… you will need to visit and experience this amazing event for yourself.

This was the last activity of our press trip. It was the perfect ending to an inspiring four days exploring Indian River County with talented travel writers from around the US. I am now very proud to call them all my friends.

Xaque Gruber, Dana Freeman, Bobbi Booker, and Tracy Kaler may you all remember the ping pong balls, swamp bunnies, and that life would be a whole lot funnier with one of Ron Feingold’s talking buttons. Love y’all. Keep inspiring the world to get out and explore.

A huge thank you to Allison of Vero Beach Visitors Bureau and Kimpton Vero Beach Hotel & Spa for making us feel pampered and for planning the perfect trip. You definitely demonstrated the hospitality and diversity of Indian River County.
